In 2016 to commemorate the Centennial Anniversary of Kia Kima, the Alumni Association produced a time capsule. The time capsule contains over sixty items to provide a snapshot of Boy Scouting and Kia Kima as it was in the 100th year. The time capsule is buried at the top of the trail leading to Golightly Chapel at Kia Kima Scout Reservation. There is a stone pillar with a bronze plaque that recognizes the alumni who contributed to the project. The time capsule itself is buried behind the pillar with a small stonework cap over it. The time capsule is intended to be opened in 2041 on the 125th Anniversary of Kia Kima.
